Gov. Hickenlooper appoints Governmental Accounting Advisory Committee members

Friday, April 15, 2011 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced appointments to the Governmental Accounting Advisory Committee.

The Advisory Committee on Governmental Accounting assists the State Auditor in formulating and prescribing a classification of accounts which will be uniform for every level of local government with certain exceptions such as population.

The appointments are dependent upon Senate confirmation. The members appointed are:

• Kevin F. Collins of Franktown, to serve as a representative of special services districts with a term to expire May 18, 2015.
• John A. Carlson of Louisville, to service as a representative of city and county government with a term to expire May 18, 2015.
• Donald J. McMahan of Avon, to serve as a certified public accountant with a term to expire May 18, 2015.
