Monday, March 7, 2011 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced today appointments to the Interbasin Compact Committee (IBCC) and to the State Board of Examiners of Water Well Construction and Pump Installation Contractors.
The Interbasin Compact Committee is charged with the development of a negotiation framework and foundational principles to guide voluntary negotiations between basin roundtables, the facilitation of continuing discussions within and between basins on water management issues, and to encourage locally driven collaborative solutions to water supply challenges.
The members will serve effective March 3, 2011. The members appointed are:
Hickenlooper also appointed a member to the State Board of Examiners of Water Well Construction and Pump Installation Contractors. The board has general supervision and authority over the installation of pumps and pumping equipment and the construction and abandonment of water wells statewide. The board also licenses and regulates persons and firms engaged in the water well construction and pump installation contracting business.
The newly-appointed member is Theresa Jehn-Dellaport of Golden, to serve as a geologist and replace Timothy Decker of Montrose. The position is a four-year term, expiring June 30, 2014.
