Complaints received by the Division of Real Estate are assigned to staff for review. In order to make an accurate assessment of your complaint it is important to provide all requested information. Staff makes no assumption as to the validity of complaints received.
The Division accepts complaints against: Appraisers, Conservation Easement Holders, Homeowners Associations, Mortgage Loan Originators and Real Estate Brokers. The jurisdiction the Division extends only to potential actions where violations of the licensing law and rules are found. The Division has no jurisdiction with regard to civil action claims that you may have against the respondent. You may wish to contact legal counsel for advice on civil actions in the courts. When the investigation is complete, you will be advised by letter of the disposition of your complaint.
