Submission of the Intake Packet does not constitute the filing of a Charge of Discrimination. Several additional steps must be taken after the filing of the Intake Packet in order for a Charge of Discrimination to be drafted and filed. Therefore, it is important that you submit the Intake Packet well before the deadline required by law so that a timely Charge may be drafted. By law, a Charge of Discrimination must be filed by mail or in person at one of the Division's offices. Charges of Discrimination may not be accepted if emailed or faxed. The date the Charge of Discrimination is received at the Division is the date of filing. Intake Packets may be filed by mail, email, fax, V/TTD-Relay or in person at one of the Division's offices.
