Oil and Gas

Oil and Gas development has increased rapidly in recent years throughout Colorado.  As extraction industry technologies continue to improve, development is likely to remain on an incline.  Colorado's local governments are working with industry leaders, state government, and each other to mitigate the potential impacts associated with the extraction of these valuable resources.  The Department of Local Affairs offers several resources to communities such as sample regulations and important links to simplify the navigation of other sources of information.
