Training Workshops provided by the Division of Housing

 Division of Housing Application and Underwriting Process Workshop -  The Division of Housing holds periodic workshops to explain the application process for housing development grants and loans. These workshops also explain how projects are underwritten by staff and the importance placed upon certain factors in this underwriting.



Developer's Tool Kit - Everything you ever wanted to know about the housing development process can be learned in this two-day workshop.

Join the Division of Housing for an exciting two-day workshop designed to enlighten participants about the art and science of affordable housing development. Through role-playing, participants will attempt to solve the housing challenge facing a typical Colorado community. Hands-on exercises will provide a working knowledge of the critical steps necessary to develop an affordable rental housing communinity.


Advanced Finance

Work with your peers on three in-depth project case studies, including rental acquisition, rural rental preservation, and new rental development . Learn about financing options, maximizing affordability, and project phasing. This class is designed for housing developers who want to use more complex financing sources. Participants must have a high level of comfort with Microsoft Excel and with the basic principles of real estate finance.

Private Activity Bond Workshops

Colorado's Private Activity Bond Allocation Committee holds workshops on around the state in July and August. These classes  are designed for local officials, potential developers & others who want to learn how to best utilize Private Activity Bond (PAB) financing to benefit their communities, especially given all the recent changes in our economy and the bond market.
