The Homeless Programs Team will provide leadership on homelessness and housing in partnership with local, state and federal stakeholders to build, promote and support collaborative approaches that will connect housing and services to meet the needs of the most vulnerable citizens in Colorado
All Coloradoans have a place to call home.

Meet the Team
Vacant (Homeless Programs Manager)
This position will be filled and a new staff member will be named in the very near future.
Autumn Gold (Homeless Programs Specialist - Office of Homeless Youth Services)
Autumn holds a double Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University in Family Studies (psychology and sociology) and Family Financial Planning. She also attended graduate school at the Denver Seminary to become a family counselor. She has worked on the enforcement of child support orders and served as a mediator where she provided mentoring, counseling, and family preservation. She then worked with homeless individual, families and children at the Denver Rescue Mission to develop educational programs, followed by Atlantis Community Inc. developing independent living programs for people with disabilities. In her over 10 years with DOH she has worked in a variety of capacities managing state and federal housing and homeless programs. She has experience linking housing to health care and supportive services, a strong understanding in the continuum of housing, as well as the ability to leverage resources around the state.
Katie Bonamasso, MSW (Homeless Programs Specialist)
Katie Bonamasso comes to the Division of Housing with nearly ten years’ experience working in income based housing connected with supportive services. Formerly a Resident Services Manager for Mercy Housing, Ms. Bonamasso oversaw service programs in affordable housing communities across Colorado. Over the course of her career, Katie has worked in income based property management, direct case management services, substance abuse counseling and Emergency Homeless Prevention Programs. Ms. Bonamasso holds a Masters in Social Work with a focus on Community Social Work Practice and a BA in Sociology and Human Services. As part of the Homeless Programs Team, Ms. Bonamasso will be providing oversight and program management to the Permanent Supportive Housing and State Housing Voucher programs at DOH.
Julia Zaffarano (Homeless Programs Coordinator)
Julia Zaffarano has over seven years of professional experience serving individuals experiencing homelessness. Before joining the Division of Housing in November 2014, Ms. Zaffarano worked for Urban Peak in Denver where she served as a Housing Case Manager for youth transitioning from homelessness. Ms. Zaffarano holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Luther College in Religion and Communication.
