Best Practice and Implementation Plan Suggestions
Adopting and enforcing a jurisdiction's first energy code is often viewed as a potentially challenging and frustrating undertaking. This need not be the case. The process can be made much easier by following tried and proven best practices along with implementing the code in simple steps outlined below. Many buildings constructed or remodeled in a jurisdiction without an adopted and enforced energy code may already comply or partially comply with some of the provisions of the 2009 IECC.
