Ongoing and Seasonal Events

The Moffat County Libraries offer a number of free programs throughout the year:

Story Time - Story times for children are hosted every week at the Craig and Dinosaur branches.
Summer Reading Progam - Each summer, adults and children can participate in the Summer Reading Progam.
Winter Reading Program - Each winter, adults and children can participate in the Winter Reading Program.
Youth Club - Youth Club is held Tuesdays at the Dinosaur branch and Wednesdays at the Craig branch in the summer.
Ready-Set-Read - A spring/fall reading program for preschool and elementary age students.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten - An ongoing reading program for you and your young child.
Baby Book Bags - Every baby born at TMH receieves a free book and early literacy information.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - Children ages 0-5 get a free book in the mail every month.

Library Closures

The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries will be CLOSED May 25 - 27 in observance of Memorial Day.

Summer Story Time at the Library

THURSDAYS AT 10 A.M. ONLY

Summer story times (May 30 - Aug. 15) will be Thursdays at 10 a.m. only at the Moffat County Library in Craig.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Connections 4 Kids and Moffat County Youth United Way are proud to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to Moffat and Rio Blanco counties. Children who enroll in the FREE program will receive an age-appropriate book mailed to their home every month through their fifth birthday. It’s a great way to spark a love of reading at an early age! For more information, call Connections 4 Kids at 970.824.8282, ext. 47.

New! 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

It's fun, it's educational, and it's easier than it sounds! Beginning in April, the Moffat County Libraries is kicking off its new 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten reading program for young children. Click here to find out more!

"Ready-Set-Read" Challenge
