Marriage License Information

A marriage license is purchased in the Clerk and Recorder's Office for $30.00. The bride and groom must both be present and have valid identification (i.e. Drivers License, Birth Certificate, Picture ID, or Passport). The applicants will also need to provide their Social Security numbers and dates of divorce or death of spouse if applicable. (Please note if a person has been divorced within six months, proof of divorce will be needed). The applicants need to be 18 year of age, or signature of legal guardian (s) is required if under 18 years of age, or a court order if under 16 years of age. A marriage license must be used in the State of Colorado within 30 days of application.
