Sentencing Task Force

The Sentencing Task Force was created pursuant to Senate Bill 2009-286 to look at sentencing in Colorado. The Governor and Attorney General submitted this letter  to the Commission regarding specific areas of focus for sentencing reform.

This Task Force met from August 2009 to April 2010. Following this series of meetings, it was determined that the scope of work required re-tooling.  A new task force, labeled the Comprehensive Sentencing Task Force, was created to re-evaluate and set priorities.

The Sentencing Task Force met between August 2009 and April 2010. It was replaced by the Comprehensive Sentencing Task Force.

See the CCJJ Master Calendar for information on all scheduled meetings of the Commission and its subgroups.

Members between August 2008 to April 2009

To ensure balanced representation on the Comprehensive Sentencing Task Force, the CCJJ Chair and Vice-Chair employed a template to guide the appointment process. Representative agencies and stakeholders were determined first, followed by the appointment of volunteers to the available positions.
