Sanitary Surveys

A sanitary survey is an on-site review, conducted by the Field Services Section, of specific elements at a public water system to evaluate the adequacy of a facility to produce and distribute safe drinking water. The sanitary survey is required by Article 11 of the Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations (CPDWRs) The Sanitary Survey brochure provided to public water systems, summarizes the specific elements reviewed during an inspection, the frequency of inspections, the inspection preparation and survey process.
