Family Day Care Homes

Good nutrition is important to both growing children and adults.  For this reason, the Colorado  Department of Public Health and Environment, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CDPHE-CACFP) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to provide reimbursement for creditable meals served to eligible non-residential children in family day care homes (FDCH).

FDCH must be licensed and fit the USDA definition of a family day care or group home.  FDCH must participate in the CACFP through a sponsoring organization.  These organizations contract with CDPHE-CACFP to provide total oversight of the CACFP for the FDCH they sponsor.
