CRUNCH PAK® issues voluntary recall of Tart Apple Slices
due to possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes
 
Company name: Crunch Pak® of Cashmere, Wash.
 
Product name: Crunch Pak® Apple Slices
 
Reason for recall: A random sample of 14-ounce packages of Crunch Pak Tart Apple Slices, taken by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.

Because the UPC code is used for all items in these categories, the UPC code alone will not identify the recalled product.
 
Distribution: Sold to retail customers, but also shipped to regional distribution centers, resulting in a nationwide recall to ensure consumers who may have purchased the product are properly alerted. The department is working to determine specific Colorado distribution.
