Nishimoto Trading Company issues allergy alert for
Kameda brand Rice Cracker Kotsubukko
 
DENVER - The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment today announced Nishimoto Trading Company, Inc. of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., is voluntarily recalling its 4.37-ounce packages of Kameda Brand Rice Cracker "Kotsubukko" snack food. The recall was initiated as a precautionary measure because the product may contain milk, an allergen not listed as a product ingredient/allergen.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. There have been no reported cases of illness at this time.
The recalled Kameda brand Rice Cracker "Kotsubukko" was distributed to retail stores in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Texas and Utah from November 2012 to March 2013 and have expiration dates as follows:

The product comes in a 4.37-ounce, red plastic package marked with item #63018 along with UPC Code 0-74410-63018-8 on the English label on the back of package.
Consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk should not eat this product, but return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 562-229-3830 Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
