The Public Health Microbiology Lab tests patient specimens for the presence of genetic material from the bacterium, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, using Nucleic Acid Amplification (NAAT) testing.

| Ground Water Testing |
|
The Chemistry Lab performs the majority of tests on ground water. Testing for the presence of bacteria in ground water is performed in the Environmental Microbiology Lab.
