Drug and Alcohol Testing

Alcohol testing is performed on blood, urine or breath specimens.

Drug testing is performed on blood and urine specimens.

The Laboratory Services Division Toxicology Lab tests both blood and urine specimens, but has suspended this testing as of July 1, 2013 until further notice. Customer specimens are being forwarded to ChemaTox Laboratories, Inc. until July 5, 2013, at which point the lab will no longer accept toxicology specimens. Please visit the Toxicology web page for more information and a list of certified Colorado toxicology labs.

The Evidential Breath Alcohol Testing Program maintains the breath alcohol testing equipment and trains law enforcement officers to become operators and instructors on this equipment.
