Developmental Disabilities: Intermediate Care Facilities

1. Target Population

• People with developmental disabilities who cannot live independently

 

2. Services Provided

• Residential care that includes protective oversight; supportive services (help with activities of daily living, such as grooming, laundry, meals, assistance with medications); and active treatment (structured behavioral and intensive physical health management to establish optimal functioning)

3. Licensed Staff Routinely Onsite

• Nurses, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians
