Day Treatment Brain Injury

1. Target Population

  • People with traumatic brain injury

 

2. Services Provided

  • Physical, occupational and speech therapies as well as teaching independent living skills (e.g., using public transportation and money management). Services are scheduled on a regular basis for two or more hours per day, one or more days per week in a community-based setting

 

3. Licensed Staff Routinely Onsite

  • Physical therapists, speech and occupational therapists are not licensed by the state, instead they are nationally certified.

 

This program provides intensive therapeutic services to persons with brain injury in a non-residential setting. Services are scheduled on a regular basis for two or more hours per day, one or more days per week and directed at the ongoing development of community living skills. Services include physical, occupational, speech, and cognitive therapies.
