Behavioral Health & Community Outreach Specialist
In 2012, Aimee completed a Masters in International Disaster Psychology from the Graduate Studies of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver. While pursuing the degree, Aimee was a Disaster Behavioral Health intern with the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response as well as with the Colorado Department of Human Services’ Traumatic Brain Injury Program. She was pleased to join the OEPR team full time upon graduating, and now serves as a Community Outreach and Behavioral Health Specialist. In addition to these responsibilities, she has been trained as a Crisis Communications practitioner and trainer. As a team member, she applies her knowledge about psychosocial interventions in disaster, health communication and cultural competence through training, capacity building, system development, and resource development.
