Colorado Hospital Association - Hospital Preparedness Advisory Group

Because the Colorado Hospital Association recognizes that hospitals are the experts on hospitals, the Hospital Preparedness Advisory Group was established in 2008. The group was formed to advise the Association's Emergency Preparedness Program and to co-develop and implement an action plan intended to create a stronger, more influential statewide hospital community. Its mission is to build a strong statewide hospital community, creating a unified and influential voice which generates collaborative partnerships among hospitals and local, regional and state emergency preparedness players, is able to influence policy and funding structures, and articulates and advocates for hospital needs regarding emergency preparedness and response. These efforts will effectively encourage, support and aid Colorado hospitals in their efforts to achieve high levels of readiness of people and resources during an emergency or disaster.
