General Conformity

General Conformity Reviews

General conformity reviews ensure that federal, state, and municipal construction projects do not create emissions during construction and with long-term project use. Projects are analyzed for their emissions impacts, which are then compared with de minimus levels of acceptable air quality. Projects reviewed in this category are those not included in a transportation conformity analysis, and include airport expansions, military base expansions, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission projects, certain U.S. Forest Service actions and municipal governmental activities.
