What is the Status of My Application

To receive information on the status of your LEAP application, please call:  1-866-432-8435 (HEAT HELP).


County LEAP offices have up to 50 calendar days to process a non-emergency LEAP application. Most non-emergency applications take between 30-35 days to process. County LEAP offices.


Mail your LEAP application along with all your other verification documents such as heating fuel bill, driver license, proof of income in the envelope provided in the mail packet sent to you. If you did not receive your application by mail you may send your LEAP application directly to your county LEAP office.




LEAP cannot provide asistance for any type of temporary or portable heating source such as portable electric heaters or any portable fuel heater.


LEAP is not intended to pay the entire cost of home heating. If you are applying for assistance continue to pay your home heating bill.
