The Colorado Department of Human Services has launched a new public website to share county child welfare information. Colorado is one of only a few states to show child welfare data through an interactive site.
The CDHS Community Performance Center is a major step forward to provide greater transparency and accountability to the people of Colorado. It is a direct result of Governor John Hickenlooper’s Child Welfare Plan "Keeping Kids Safe and Families Healthy 2.0."
Users can view demographic comparisons of data by age, ethnicity and gender, including county-level performance and historical trends. The data is also able to be sorted by judicial district.
Reports available on the CDHS Community Performance Center measure goals mandated by the federal government, as well as the Department’s C-Stat performance management strategy. All of which are established to measure positive outcomes for children and families.
