Safety Department

The Department of Public Safety is organized to help implement the hospital’s mission by providing and maintaining a safe environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.  Providing quality patient interventions, timely emergency response, safety and security benefits the customers that the department serves.  

On-going security activities at the hospital include safe patient intervention, law enforcement activities and timely emergency response to security incidents and/or disasters.  

The department also maintains statistics in order to assist the hospital in the maintenance of a safe environment.  This information is provided to individual clinical teams and hospital management to help reduce the number of patient and staff injuries.
