With the legislative session one-quarter over, it's time for a quick update. Our focus this session is creating jobs, strengthening the economy and balancing the state budget. There is little doubt that Colorado has followed the U.S. into a recession. While our unemployment rate is higher than it was a year ago, we remain stronger than many other parts of the country.
