Grab Your Banjo & Fiddle! Bluegrass Festival Heads to the Fair.
PUEBLO, Colo. – A 23-year tradition is making a move to the Colorado State Fairgrounds. Bluegrass at the Fair, formerly Bluegrass on the River, is scheduled for June 1-3, 2012, at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo.
The 23rd annual festival will showcase three days of pickin’ for only $30. Friday will feature Nashville recording artist, The Claire Lynch Band; Saturday will feature Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band; with Pueblo’s own Fireweed band pickin’ throughout the weekend. In all, nearly 20 bands will hit the stage.
In true festival style, bluegrass fans will be able to camp with electric hookups for $35 for all three days on a first-come-first-served basis, as well as enjoy numerous vendors and side jam sessions. It’s a weekend full of Bluegrass Music in every form.
“We are thrilled to host the Bluegrass at the Fair festival,” said State Fair General Manager, Chris Wiseman. “This is a great event for the state and provides three days of entertainment for a very reasonable cost. I’m also proud to know that proceeds will be directed to the 4-H and FFA projects on the fairgrounds.”
Proceeds from this event will go to the Colorado State Fair Foundation for the purpose of building new 4-H and FFA dormitories, establishing new and improving old 4-H and FFA competitions and other 4-H and FFA functions.
Tickets are now available at the State Fair box office or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
