Food Systems Council

For more information, visit the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council (CO-FSAC) website at www.cofoodsystemscouncil.org.

The CO-FSAC was established through Senate Bill 10-106, a bill initiated by LiveWell Colorado, and seated in October 2010 by Governor Ritter.

The formation and creation of this group is intended:

  • to benefit Colorado agriculturists and others involved in all aspects of agriculture
  • to provide increased focus on economic development opportunities of Colorado’s food system
  • to provide improvements to agricultural production
  • to provide improvements to community well-being
  • to provide improvements to public health

The Council is created as an advisory committee to make recommendations to the General Assembly and to the appropriate regulatory agencies, not to make policy.
