West Nile Virus (WNV)

West Nile Virus (WNV) is a strain of encephalitis, a serious and sometimes deadly viral disease that can be carried by some mosquitoes. Mosquitoes become infected with the virus after feeding on infected wild birds and then transmit the virus through bites to people, animals and other birds.
