Estes Park Board of Appeals

Consisting of design professionals and contractors, the Estes Park Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of decisions made by the Chief Building Official. The Board will also meet as needed in order to advise the Town Board on matters relating to construction codes, and to facilitate amendments and adoption of construction codes as directed by the Town Board.

Agenda - The Board does not have regularly scheduled meetings; instead, the Board meets on an as needed basis.

Meeting Packet - A paper version of the Board of Appeals meeting packet will be available at the Estes Valley Public Lubrary at least two days prior to a Board of Appeals meeting.

Member Term

The Estes Park Board of Appeals consists of five members. All must reside within the Estes Valley for the duration of their term. When vacancies occur, a notice is published in the local newspaper. Appointments are made by the Estes Park Board of Trustees following an application and interview process. Interested residents are encouraged to participate in the Town's Citizen Information Academy (CIA) program. Applicants may apply to serve on the Board of Appeals by contact the Human Resources Department at 970-577-4775. This is a technical board. Members must have construction experience as described in the Board of Appeals Roles & Responsibilities.
