The Estes Park Museum is celebrating its 50th anniversary by delving into the institution’s history – taking inventory, studying artifacts, and identifying areas of the collection to build upon. In order to streamline this process, the Museum is placing a temporary hold on accepting donations of objects, photographs, books, and archives from now through December 2013.
This short-term hold will enable staff to complete outstanding projects and an inventory of approximately 25,000 objects already in the collection.
Looking back at 50 years of collecting local history while also looking to the future, the Museum intends to set concise goals, objectives, methods, and priorities for growth. Staff would appreciate it if potential donors would please contact the Curator at 970-577-3762.
