Pine Beetle Mitigation

Air Curtain Burner

The Town of Estes Park offers free beetle tree trunk disposal at the Town's air curtain burner site, off Elm Road. Also at this location, suitable beetle wood can be dropped off for pick-up by Peak to Peak Wood, a non-profit organization that collects the wood for recycling. Located at 666 Elm Road, the site is open 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Free inspections of Estes Valley properties are available, offered by the volunteer group, the Beetle Busters. To schedule an inspection, please call 970-577-3587 or email jimber@estes.org .

Town of Estes Park residents are required to remove brood trees - those trees with an active bark beetle infestation, as per Ordinance 08-08.
