The results are in -- citizens responded in remarkable numbers to the Town of Estes Park’s 2011 Citizen Survey. A total of 576 households completed the scientific mailed survey, a 54% response rate. An additional 110 people took a non-scientific web version of the survey in August. The results can be used by Town officials, other agencies and community stakeholders for community planning and resource allocation, program improvement, policy-making and tracking changes in residents’ opinions about government performance.
The Town of Estes Park used the National Citizen Survey™, which is sponsored by the International City/County Management Association in cooperation with National Research Center, Inc. The questionnaire and survey methods were designed based on the experience of hundreds of local governments, ranging in size from small to large. And, Estes Park’s results are able to be compared with those of more than 500 other jurisdictions in the National Citizen Survey database in the benchmark report.
