Man Found Dead in Sleeper Berth on Vail Pass

Summit County- The Colorado State Patrol responded to a motorist assist on eastbound I70 milepost 190 on November 25, 2013, at approximately 1:38 pm. Upon contact, the Trooper observed a truck tractor and trailer belonging to Paul Terry Trucking parked on the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was running at the time of contact.

The Trooper made several attempts to establish contact with any possible occupants in the vehicle. When no one responded, the Trooper entered the truck tractor and discovered 62 year-old Jeff Robison of Filmore, Utah, dead in the sleeper berth.

Robison had been dead for several hours at the time of discovery, and he was the only occupant in the vehicle.

Copper Mountain Fire, Summit County Sheriff's Office, Summit County Coroner, Big Steve Towing, and CSP responded to the scene.

The vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the roadway and had not been involved in a crash. While the cause of death is still under investigation, foul play is not suspected.
