Fatal and Injury Crashes Covered by the Colorado State Patrol

The Colorado State Patrol investigates traffic crashes throughout the state, classifying the type of accident based on the severity of injuries sustained by those involved in the crash. The Patrol usually investigates between 1,500 and 2,500 crashes per month (depending on weather conditions), for all types of crash.
