Credit Card Information
A cashier may print out a receipt to give it to the customer for their records. In addition, if the customer provides an email address, a copy of the receipt will be emailed to that address. Collected email addresses are for the receipts only, no marketing related emails are sent to clients.
If a refund is required, the government entity will need to provide a refund to the customer using their existing process. The system does not allow for credit card or echeck refunds.
Credit disputes are rare and usually occur because the customer doesn¿t recognize the item on their credit card statement. In that case we will contact the customer and explain the charge. Usually they reverse the dispute and all is well. If the dispute is upheld, CI will invoice the government entity to be reimbursed for the amount of the dispute.
