How to Register Electronically
You must first set up an account through Revenue online.
- Go to Revenue Online (www.Colorado.gov/RevenueOnline)
- Click on Individual or Business..
- Click on Sign Up (new) or Log In (if you already have Revenue Online access).
(To get first-time access to Revenue Online, click on Sign Up and follow the prompts. Refer to the View Tutorial link, which is next to the Sign Up link. Once you have set up a Revenue Online Login ID and Password, go back to Revenue Online to Log In.) - Once you have logged into your Revenue Online tax account, on the left side of the screen, click on Add/Change an EFT and follow the prompts.
How to Register by Paper
Download the Authorization for Electronic Funds Transfer for Tax Payments form (DR 5785) and mail or fax to:

Paper applications will take longer to process, so it is best to apply through Revenue Online and receive your EFT Number and PIN Code that can be used the day after your submit your EFT request.
Note: If you wish to make a payment today with a credit card or electronic check, visit Revenue Online. This service includes an administrative fee. Details are available on the payment Web site.
Submit your tax payment before 4 p.m. Mountain Time for credit to your account on that date. You must still mail-in required forms for many types of tax payments including sales tax. Failure to do so may result in penalty and interest assessments.
