CSTARS Committee

The Colorado State Title and Registration System (CSTARS) advisory committee was created pursuant to C.R.S. 42-1-211 (4)(a) and consists of seven authorized agents appointed by the Executive Director of the Department of Revenue. The committee members must be county clerk and recorders, the clerk and recorder for the city and county of Broomfield, or the manager of revenue for the city and county of Denver as may be appointed by the mayor to perform functions related to the registration of motor vehicles. The CSTARS Committee have the following responsibilities:
The special fund created in C.R.S. 42-1-211(2) is the Highway Users Tax Fund, which is known as the Colorado state titling and registration account, for purpose of providing funds for the development and operation of the Colorado state titling and registration system. |
