Change Your Address Online

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles today announced a new service that allows the holders of a Colorado Driver License or state-issued ID to change their address online.


This free service will eliminate trips to a DMV office to update addresses every time a license holder moves. . “Our goal here is to use technology to increase efficiency and convenience for our customers,” said Mike Dixon, Director of the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles. “This service will mean fewer customers in our offices and less waiting time for the customers who need to be there.”


“This is just one of the many changes we are planning to make at the Colorado DMV to save our customers time and reduce waiting times in our offices.” stated Mike Dixon.


The online Driver License/State ID Address Change service has been made possible through a partnership between the Department of Revenue and, which helps State and local government put their services online.
