The Colorado Gaming Commission and the Division of Racing Events are affiliated with the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI).

During its 2009 annual conference, the membership of ARCI elected then-Director of the Colorado Division of Racing Events, Daniel J. Hartman, to serve as Vice-Chairman for 2009-10 and as Chairman in 2010-11.
