As part of the Department of Revenue's Enforcement branch, the Enforcement Section investigates the illegal activity at the Racing venues within the state. The Section investigates purported criminal violation, violations of regulations and rules perpetrated at racing facilities and/or against race participants. Additionally, it accepts written and verbal complaints from the public, track associations, and other Division employees. Simulcast facility, stable and kennel inspections are conducted |
as required by Colorado Revised Statutes. Enforcement is responsible for:
- reviewing and investigating questionable occupational and business applications
- applications with omitted material facts or false statements
- making recommendations for the approval or denial of such
