Rulemaking Hearings

Executive Order D 2012-002, and Senate Bill 14-063 require State agencies to review all agency rules at least once every five years. Rule 19 Gaming District Boundaries has been reviewed and the Division is proposing minor corrections for the sake of consistency and clarification. These changes are considered non-substantive and have been filed with the Colorado Secretary of State as a correction filing.

This is to notify you that the Division of Gaming held a Stakeholder Rule Making Workshop on Tuesday, August 12th, 2014 to discuss proposed changes to Rule 12 Gaming Devices and Equipment. 

Executive Order D 2012-002, and Senate Bill 14-063 require State agencies to review all agency rules at least once every five years. Rule 12 has been reviewed and the Division is proposing changes and corrections for the sake of consistency, clarification, and to update the rule to accommodate changes in gaming equipment and technology.

 Stakeholders are welcome to propose additional changes for the Division to consider as part of this rule review. If a stakeholder wishes to comment on this rule review in writing, please either mail your comments to the Division at 17301 W. Colfax Ave, Suite 135, Golden CO 80401, or send them via e-mail to Rules Manager Ronni Hunter at ronni.hunter@state.co.us. All written comments must be received by the Division of Gaming no later than August 31st, 2014. 

 

 Proposed changes to Rule 12 updated 9/11/14

 This is to notify you that proposed changes to Rule 18 Contracts and formal agreements between the commission and other state agencies, will be heard at the Division of Gaming’s monthly Commission meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2014, beginning at 9:30 am. The hearing will take place at the Cripple Creek Gaming Office located at 350 W. Carr Ave., Cripple Creek, Colorado 80813.   

 Executive Order D 2012-002, and Senate Bill 14-063 require State agencies to review all agency rules at least once every five years. Rule 18 has been reviewed and the Division is proposing minimal changes and corrections for the sake of consistency and clarification.

 This hearing date will also satisfy the stakeholder workshop requirement. Stakeholders are welcome to propose additional changes for the Division to consider as part of this rule review. Stakeholders may submit written documents and are welcome to attend and testify at the rulemaking hearing. If a stakeholder wishes to comment in writing, please either mail your comments to the Division at 17301 W. Colfax Ave, Suite 135, Golden, CO 80401, or send them to Rules Manager Ronni Hunter via e-mail at ronni.hunter@state.co.us, by August 31, 2014.

  The Gaming Commission voted unanimously to approve proposed changes to Rules 8, 10, and 23.  When the effective date is determined it will be posted here.
