Financial Responsibilities Act
If you were in an accident and did not have insurance in effect, you may be subjected to what is known as a Financial Responsibilities Act (FRA) Suspension. If this action is taken against your driving privileges, the DMV will send you a letter regarding this and you may request a hearing on the matter. The Hearing Officer will be looking to gather information on the following questions:
If the hearing officer determines you did not have insurance in effect and you were responsible for damages to someone else, you license will go under suspension. In order to get reinstated, at a minimum you will need to show one of the following four items:
