Thank you to everyone who continues to participate in the collaborative, statewide economic development process for Colorado!
Our first priority is the retention and creation of jobs across the state. Over the past three months we have witnessed significant success. We continue to hear positive and thoughtful suggestions on how to make the Colorado Blueprint stronger. Based on your input and concerns, we have revised the twenty-four tactics in order to be more explicit with the details, clarify leadership roles and accountability, tighten timelines and add more specific measureable outcomes. While we recognize there are still improvements to be made, we are proud to present Colorado Blueprint Version 1.0. As this is a living document that will be changed as we begin to implement the tactics, we will be publishing updated versions annually.
We have an ambitious plan, but we are confident that we will succeed with the continued participation of so many passionate business leaders, community leaders, elected officials and economic development professionals. Success breeds most success and we believe that if, as a statewide community, we embrace collaboration we will reap the benefits of new jobs and a faster recovery than any other state.
This is the next step in our sustained conversation about what Colorado’s economy should look like now and in the future. We look forward to continuing to work together to create jobs and grow the Colorado economy.
Sincerely,
Kenneth W. Lund
