Public Records Law & Annual Reports
Company EZ information is a public record. The legislature declared that individual company information regarding EZ tax credits are a public record. This change applies to certifications covering tax years beginning on or after August 7, 2002. Information on research & development expenditures, as well as information that would reveal an individual employee's salary, is excluded from this requirement. Revised "Certification of Qualified Enterprise Zone Business" forms (DR0074), as well as forms for the EZ Vacant Building Rehabilitation Certification (DR0076), and Research & Development Certification (DR0077), incorporating these changes are available from the Department of Revenue website, as well as from the Overview Table on the Tax Credits page of our website. Taxpayers filing certifications covering tax years beginning on or after 8/7/02 must use the new form. Certifications covering earlier tax years will remain confidential tax documents.
