Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade

Honorary Investment Representative in Germany

The Honorary Investment Office in Germany is a partnership established between the law offices of Holme Roberts and Owen in Munich and the State of Colorado with the purpose of promoting investment between Germany and Colorado. Munich was chosen as the location of our Honorary Investment Office because the economies and markets of Bavaria are exceptionally well matched to those of Colorado. Bavaria is a hub for industries as diverse as telecommunications and information technology, aerospace, manufacturing, renewable energy, and life sciences. Colorado shares these same industry strengths and through the Honorary Investment Representative encourages collaboration between the business communities of both regions.

The Munich office of Holme Roberts & Owen provides full service representation to a broad variety of clients, including information technology, life sciences and media start-ups, as well as investors and venture capitalists.  HRO Munich assists clients with all manner of corporate, finance and tax matters, including company formation, private financing rounds and public securities offerings. For more information about Holme Roberts and Owen, please visit their website.

German companies are some of the larger foreign investors in the United States as well as Colorado. Colorado is home to many German firms including Siemens, Boker USA, Rag Ag. and  Inc.Intra Automation LLC.  German companies in Colorado employ 4,600 Coloradoans, own $494 million in gross property, plant and equipment, and $20 million in commercial property in the state.
