Integrated Acquisition Environment (IAE): Business Development

Troops to Teachers (TTT)



The purpose of TTT is to assist eligible military personnel to transition into a new career as a public school teacher in "high -need" schools. A network of State TTT offices have been established to provide participants with counseling and assistance regarding certification requirements, routes to state certification, and employment leads.


  • Individual counseling: Staff develops a customized plan for individuals to help them reach their teaching goals. This includes providing information on how to become a teacher in a designated state.
  • Financial Support: For participants that qualify, up to $10,000 is available in financial assistance
  • Teaching licensure/certification and preparatory programs for: CA, CO, HI, KS, NE, NV, NM, UT
  • Comprehensive placement assistance (job listings, network building, and interview preparation)
