About Us
Mountain Regional Housing is a private, non-profit organization that has been providing affordable housing options and services to households in the Roaring Fork Valley and west to Parachute since 1993.
As a distinction between the other affordable housing organizations in the valley, Mountain Regional Housing is a HUD-Approved Counseling Agency, is designated as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) by the State Division of Housing and offers three very unique and distinct programs. These programs include a free monthly Homebuyer Education class in both English and Spanish, a Landlord/Tenant Mediation Program, and two Down Payment Assistance programs.
Additionally, Mountain Regional Housing is the administrative agent for the Town of Carbondale's Community Housing Program. That includes deed restriction administration of 76 properties; maintaining owner records of all properties, conducting the lottery and sale of any deed restricted property and, acting as a resource to the town on affordable housing issues.
