New Colorado Stamp Unveiled
Lt. Gov. Barbara O'Brien helped to unveil a new U.S. stamp featuring the Colorado flag, appropriately on Flag Day, June 14, 2008.
Children's Health
As a longtime advocate for children's health issues, Lt. Gov. O'Brien was on hand to celebrate legislation to extend health care access to as many as 50,000 more Colorado children.
2008 Ute Mountain Ute Annual Bear Dance
Every year, the Colorado Commission on Indian Affairs, chaired by Lt. Gov. Barbara O'Brien, meets once at the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation in Towaoc, Colorado, near the Four Corners Monument. The meeting usually coincides with the annual Bear Dance, a dance celebrating spring. Lt. Gov. O'Brien joined in the other women in asking the men to dance.
