Governor's Residence Celebrates "A Colorado Christmas, 1909"


The Governor's Residence at the Boettcher Mansion will celebrate the architecture and nostalgia of 1909 in this year's holiday decorations with "A Colorado Christmas, 1909," designed by artist Karen Bozik. Decorations will feature Victorian tree ornaments, antique toys and dollhouse displays, a model steam engine and other period articles.

Carter Center's 25th Annual Rosalynn Center Symposium


Mrs. Ritter recently joined 200 national health policy experts and mental health leaders at the Carter Center's 25th Annual Rosalynn Carter Symposium on Mental Health Policy in Atlanta to explore key issues regarding health care reform. The Rosalynn Carter Symposium on Mental Health Policy is a part of the Carter Center's Mental Health Program, which works to decrease stigma and discrimination against people with mental illnesses as well as to promote positive policy change on mental health topics.

Girl Scouts' 2009 Woman of Distinction Award


First Lady Jeannie Ritter was honored, along with 19 other outstanding women, by the Girls Scouts of Colorado as a 2009 Woman of Distinction on Oct. 7th. The First Lady was joined by the Governor, other friends, and family; and was presented to award for her commitment and leadership in the mental health arena and her work preserving the Governor's Residence.

Centennial Farms at the Residence


Gov. Ritter and First Lady Jeannie joined Colorado Proud and the Department of Agriculture on Saturday, Oct. 10th to honor more than 20 Colorado farms that's been owned by a single family for more than 100 years. The event included a meal prepared by three local chefs, and was served by students from Metro State's Culinary Arts Program.

'Pints & Bites' at the Governor's Residence


First Lady Jeannie Ritter hosted a collection of Colorado brewers and chefs at the Governor's Residence, and showcased food from several Colorado farms at the first "Pints & Bites." With more than 200 patrons in attendance, the event featured 30 different beers from 15 Colorado breweries, paired with 23 menu items using food from 5 Colorado farms, and all prepared by 17 chefs from the Culinary School of the Rockies. Joins Thousands to Honor First Lady of Ghana

Second Annual Garden Party


Gov. Bill Ritter and First Lady Jeannie Ritter played host to more than 200 patrons and supporters of the Governor's Residence during the second annual Garden Party on July 10.
